The Shurflo Piranha Series Aerator ballast pumps have a reputation for high quality and longevity. Even this reliable pump will fail if used for long enough, and now we have an easy fix if you have a pump that is not operating at maximum efficiency, or has failed entirely.

Up until now customers have had to purchase the entire pump assembly, even though it features a replaceable motor design, and the existing housing the boat is generally still sound. Now that we offer just the motor cartridge separately, you can simply remove the existing damaged cartridge, and install a new one in its place. That means easier installation since the hose connections can remain in place, and less waste that you're paying for.

Yes, it's true, the same motor is used for both the 800GPH and 1100GPH pumps, with the only difference between the size of the hose used on the discharge (the 800GPH version uses 3/4" hose, while the higher capacity 1100GPH pump uses 1-1/8" hose). That makes this cartridge universal for both pumps.
