The Benz has been a favorite of both skim and surf riders for many years, and in those years Connelly has learned a thing or two. A re-engineered rocker line adds lip to the nose and reduces the height of the tail. This increases the heel-to-toe maneuverability while keeping the fast overall feel. Connelly used a diamond tail shape to break the flow of water along the edge to make it easier to break free off the lip, or for initiating spins.
